Logitech is always a popular choice when it comes to peripherals, be it a mouse, keyboard or anything else in their vast product line-up, the product is typically of a high quality. The diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks is no exception. This keyboard is up in the higher end of Logitech’s line, giving notebook users a keyboard to use when at the desk without taking up too much unnecessary space. You can tell at first glance that this is a very good keyboard even without touching it, but the main standout feature is that it is small, from the press photos it seems that the keyboard itself is quite large in terms of length, but this is not the case, it’s nice and compact, making use of every space provided and not leaving large unused a...

6. Side View

If you’ve been visiting Geeksmack for a little while now, you may have seen a review by me of a gaming mouse from this company called the Naos 5000. That being a fantastic product, I had high hopes for this gaming headset from Mionix, but one thing keeps me away from calling this an amazing product. Yes a lot of products these days have problems, but I thought this would be something to fix before release. With that aside there are still some brilliant factors of this headset such as outstanding comfort, a stylish design a...

These days, just about every household has at least more than one gaming console, with some having all of the latest top consoles on the market today: The Sony PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii, perhaps with some other lesser known consoles as well. That being said, obviously each of these consoles have their own lineup of controllers, and, until now, nobody has ventured to create the universal remote equivalent of the gaming world.

A recently filed patent discovered by GoRumors reveals just that, which, quoting the patent, is “an adaptable or universal game controller which can be used to emulate the controllers of popular game consoles, such as, without limitation, the PlayStation.TM. made by Sony, a controller made by Nintendo, X-box.TM. game controllers made by Microsoft, Amiga CD-32.TM. controllers, Atari Jaguar.TM. controllers, Gravis Gamepad.TM. controllers, Sega controllers, and Turbographics controllers”.

Today I’ll be reviewing the Razer DeathAdder gaming mouse and Goliathus gaming surface.

While Microsoft’s success is primarily driven by its software products -- most notably Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office -- it also has a lineup of peripherals comprised of mice, keyboards and webcams. This lineup consists of an array of products to suit end-users, ranging from multimedia desktop sets, 720p webcams, and gaming desktop sets, among other products. The latest addition to Microsoft’s arsenal of peripherals is the Microsoft Arc keyboard, which was announced at the popular Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010.

Destined for the living room (and marketed with the catchphrase “Style that works”), the Microsoft Arc Keyboard buffs sleek curves, a compact yet functional design, low-profile keys, and a glossy finish. It’s intended to be used...

arc

At CES 2010, Microsoft has announced a keyboard companion to accompany its existing Arc mouse. Marketed with the slogan “style that works”, this sleek, stylish keyboard weighs in at under a pound and has an ergonomic, curved design. This keyboard can obviously be used anywhere, but it was designed primarily for use in the living room, on your lap, as you sip a tasty beverage and control your HTPC. While I am yet to use this keyboard, looking at the keys reminds me of the typing experience on an Apple keyboard; which is definitely a pleasant experience as the nice feel of laptop keys is brought to the desktop with Apple’s keyboard, with increased quality of course.

The Arc keyboard is wireless, with a low-profile USB transceiver that can be stored at the back of the keyboard when not in use. Unlike the Arc mouse, this keyboard cannot fold for travel. The Arc keyboard will launch...

univ_dock In a patent application that Apple recently filed, they outlined a possible device that would use a soft surface with a sponge-like consistency that can adapt to the shape of any device “remember” the shape for days after its removal. Then presumably through some magnetic interface, the dock would be able to connect with the device, and if the device was compatible, communicate with and/or charge it.

It’s only a patent application, so there’s no confirmation that this device is being engineered right now, or that it ever will be. We can’t be sure as to how the device will function, or what kind of support it will have for 3rd party devices that aren’t manufactured by Apple. If this device is real and it’s as good as it looks, it will be a huge step forward in the “docking world” as we know it.
